A day with Griffin............

This past Saturday, our church children's ministry was going ice skating and I was so excited to take Griffin!  It's for kindergarten and up and we've been so excited that he's been able to do a few of the things so far!  Ice skating was the most exciting though...until we actually did it....ha! So, around 10:30, Griffin and I headed out to do several errands before ice skating began at 2:00.  We went to Target, A.C. Moore, had lunch at McDonalds (and we got to eat inside...his choice of place and was THRILLED that we were eating in).  We then went to Ross and headed across town to the ice skating rink!
Griffin and mommy excited to head out on our "date!"
Griffin was SOOOO excited that after our shopping trips we were FINALLY at the ice skating place!
There were TONS AND TONS AND TONS of other people that had the same idea to go ice skating....that place was CRAZY!  We finally waited in the long line to pay, then another long line to get our skates.  I KNEW in my heart we were spending MUCH more time in lines than we were actually going to spend on the ice....but it was fun.
Griffin and I are ready to FINALLY head onto the ice....right when we got our skates on (both of us had to get different sizes so they would fit), they cleared the ice for the machine to do it's thing.  So, more waiting...G was annoyed....:)  Anyways....we finally got on the ice and it is MUCH more difficult, to me anyways, than roller skating.  We held onto the wall around the rink about a third of the way up and they announced it was time to switch the pattern of the way we were going.  SO, that worked out perfectly as Griffin and I could get back to the door QUICKER and head out....lol!  We did have fun, but neither of us cared to ice skate....:)
So, we then headed to Party City and Publix and then finally got home around 6:00 p.m.  It was AWESOME to have a day with just us two!
